Obituary for the Rev. Darryl W. Adams

The Reverend Daryl W. Adams went home to the Church Triumphant on August 15, 2019. He was 79 years old. 

Pr. Adams was born April 14, 1940 in Salem, Ohio. He attended Kings Point, United Merchant Marine Academy and then Capital University in Columbus. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary in 1967.

He began his ministry as assistant pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kettering, Ohio, where he served from 1967 until 1970. He then was called to Christ the King Lutheran Church in Huntington, West Virginia. Pr. Adams returned to Ohio in December of 1978 as pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sidney. In 1985, he took on the role of Director of Church Relations and Program Development for Lutheran Social Services in Dayton Ohio. In 1995, he received a call from Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Dayton, Ohio as pastor. He retired in December of 2003.

He leaves behind his wife, Patricia, to whom he was married for nearly 56 years.

Funeral services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 28200 Portsmouth Dr., Menifee, California on August 31, 2019 at 1:30 pm.
