Congregations share their plans for the immediate and longer term future regarding worship--in person and/or virtual

We thank the congregations who have kindly shared their current plans for 'What comes next' in regard to worship and the life of the church in light of current gathering restrictions and the continued presence and threat of COVID-19 in our communities. If you'd like to share your plan, please send them to Susan Barton-Nonno, Director of Communications, at sbarton-nonno@southernohiosynod.org.

Bishop Dillahunt encourages all congregations to begin planning, even if that plan is to wait to do in-person worship, but continue to conduct online or email services. Plans should be fluid, and based on the best guidelines and information available from reliable sources like the Ohio Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control. All of these links are on our website in the COVID-19 Resources section, which is easily accessed through the Quick Links sidebar on the left-hand side of our page or from the main story in the center of our page.

Below are links to the shared plans, as well as to the letter from Pr. Larry Donner, Thrive Campaign Director, and the Bishop’s Outside the Box Team on behalf of the synod regarding considerations before re-opening your church building.
