A prayer from Bishop Dillahunt: New beginnings

God of new beginnings, we pray for this new year.  

Be our guide, our strength and our hope. Heal divisions, heal the sick, comfort the dying and grieving. Show us your mercy and forgiveness. May this new year bring the Gospel message of grace and love to those who are searching and do not know you. May we who know you and the love of Jesus Christ be the the ones who bring this good news to others.  We pray for a calmer and healthy new year filled with hope and anticipation.  In the name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen
