Congratulations to The Rev. David Westphal on Publishing His First Book "Thy Will Be Done in Me: Living the Lord's Prayer"

Congratulations to The Reverend David H. Westphal, pastor at David Lutheran Church in Canal Winchester, who recently completed and published his first book, Thy Will Be Done in Me: Living the Lord’s Prayer.

Originally meant as a Lenten devotional, Thy Will Be Done in Me: Living the Lord’s Prayer grew into a book designed to help the reader continually seek God’s will in his or her life in the context of a community of faith. “I sought to outline the core dispositions that would allow folks to continuously discern God’s personal and communal will for their lives. In short, the focus was not on me and my purpose, but on God and God’s purpose for each of us as we live within the community of faith,” Pr. Westphal said of his new book.

The book contains six weeks of daily devotions, plus an extended introduction focusing on contemplative prayer, opening up the reader to hear, discern and discover the formational dispositions or principles that will allow him/her to recognize and live out God’s divine purpose for their lives.

Pr. Westphal is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, PA, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Roanoke College, and an Associate Degree in Architectural Technology from the Williamsport Area Community College in Williamsport, PA. He is certified in Formative Spirituality from the Epiphany Academy in Pittsburgh, PA and has a certificate in Church Leadership from the Hall of Church Leadership, Cambridge, England. He serves David Lutheran Church, Canal Winchester, with his wife, The Reverend Beth Welsch Westphal.

Thy Will Be Done in Me: Living the Lord’s Prayer is available in paperback or hardback from Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other booksellers, as well as on Kindle and Nook.
