Rodent Academy is designed to connect the science of rodent management with the challenges PMPs encounter in the field. Attendees will explore:
- Rodent biology, behavior, and integrated pest management
- Rodenticide science, application, and stewardship
- Inspection strategies and identifying structural vulnerabilities
- Exclusion materials, tools, and installation techniques
- Rodent management when traditional control tools are restricted
- Washington and Oregon rodenticide, trapping, and glue-board legislation
- Hands-on exclusion training and practical problem solving
Rodent Academy Schedule
Rodent Academy includes approximately 13 hours of planned educational instruction, combining classroom education, hands-on skill development, and supervised real-world field application.

Start Rodent Academy by connecting with fellow attendees and industry partners while exploring rodent management products, exclusion materials, tools, monitoring equipment, and other solutions that will be incorporated throughout the training program. This four-hour team field lab brings the entire Rodent Academy program together. Participants will work through a real-world rodent management scenario with instructor guidance.
- Conduct a systematic rodent inspection
- Document rodent activity, entry points, and conducive conditions
- Develop a site-specific rodent management plan
- Select trapping, monitoring, and exclusion strategies
- Choose appropriate exclusion materials
- Complete approved exclusion work with instructor guidance
