Benefit Concert Feb 28 for LSS Faith Mission Homeless Shelter in Columbus
Gethsemane Lutheran Church is hosting a benefit concert Sing a New Song, which is open to the entire community. Synchronicity Trio (Bruce Posey, Dick Reuning, Sharon Walton) and guest artists Denise Spires, clarinet, and Dr. Timothy Guenther will offer its annual benefit concert for Faith Mission Homeless Shelters (www.faithmissionofohio.org) on Sunday, February 28,2016 at 4:00 pm.
The concert features music inspired by the chorale and hymn tradition including works by Mendelssohn, Bach and other 20th and 21st century composers. Join us for a diverse and entertaining program including a hymn premiere, some interesting musical facts, the company of good friends, and a terrific reception with goodies donated by Mozart’s Café and Bakery – all for a freewill donation for a great cause: HELPING THE HOMELESS. What could be better?
