The Southern Ohio Synod's 4G Networking team invites all our congregations to participate in a 2-day intensive to learn new ways to talk about money and inspire generosity and church giving in a struggling economy.

The course is “Christian Ethics: Theology, Method and Practice” promises to be an interesting and meaningful learning experience. It is geared for the person-in-the-pew and also for people in positions of lay worship leadership in the congregation.

Fore Christ Golf Tournament July 26 @ Chapel Hill Golf Course

The Northwest Cluster of the Central Ohio Conference invites you to hit the green and raise some green for the Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio, which provides services and medicines to patients with little or no health insurance.

The annual event takes place on July 26 at Chapel Hill Golf Course in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Registration begins at 11:30 am.

On behalf of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Global Mission Unit and the Southern Ohio Synod, we wish to say 'thank you' and recognize the following congregations for their support of our ELCA missionaries through designated donations to either a specific missionary or the ELCA Missionary Sponsorship fund. 

ELCA Leaders to Visit Shelters for Unaccompanied Children

To learn more about the recent arrival of unaccompanied children into the United States, a group of leaders from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) will travel July 16-18 to Texas. Their time there will include visits to children shelters and facilities managed by Lutheran Social Services of the South, based in Austin, Texas, and meetings with ELCA pastors and members to hear about their experiences and response efforts.
