Justine Stremick, MD, MPH &TM, FACEP

MAJ Justine Stremick grew up in the small town of Langdon North Dakota. She went to play volleyball for the University of Notre Dame while earning her Bachelors of Science in Mathematics with a concentration in life sciences, graduating cum laude in 2009.

She took a year off to travel and volunteer aboard before attending Tulane University School of Medicine where she earned her Medical Doctorate as well as a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She was selected to join the Madigan Army Emergency Medicine Residency where she served as chief resident, completing the program in 2017. 

After graduation, she was assigned to Fort Belvoir Army Community Hospital during which time was selected to play on the All-Army and All-Armed Forced Volleyball teams, competing internationally in 2018 and 2019. For her efforts she was awarded the 2018 Female Soldier-Athlete of the year. She also completed a combat deployment to Afghanistan which earned her a bronze star. 

In late 2019, she was assigned to 1-2 SBCTat JBLM, where she served as an emergency Physician in their BSB role 2. She then transitioned to Madigan Hospital where she currently serves as an Associate Program Director for the emergency medicine residency. 

Back in 2018, Dr. Stremick started to increase her involvement in GSACEP when she re-vamped the chapter's newsletter. She remains the editor-in-chief but has also served as a Councilor on the Board of Directors, the sub-chair and then chair of the PR&Advocacy Committee, member of the Awards Committee, current chair of the Public Relations Committee and was just elected as the President-elect of the chapter. At the national level, she serves as a member of the International Committee. 

 

She currently resides in the Pacific Northwest with her wonderful husband Warren and two young children.
