The Woman of the Year Award recognizes a woman who has made a significant impact on the post-frame construction industry. This award celebrates women whose leadership, innovation, and dedication have advanced the industry or strengthened the success and operations of a post-frame company.
The recipient will be honored during the awards ceremony at the NFBA Expo in Columbus.
Eligibility
Nominees must meet one or more of the following:
- Be currently active or formerly active in the post-frame construction industry.
- Have held a leadership, management, or technical role in a post-frame company, association, or related organization.
- Demonstrated influence in shaping the direction, standards, or visibility of the post-frame industry.
Selection Process
- Nominations may be submitted by NFBA members, companies, or industry peers.
- A selection committee appointed by NFBA will review nominations and determine the recipient.
- The award may be presented annually at the NFBA Conference & Expo, though NFBA reserves the right not to present the award in years where a suitable candidate is not identified.
Suggested Nomination Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate qualifications in at least two of the areas below.
Leadership & Vision
Provided exceptional leadership that has positively influenced a company, project, or the broader industry.
Innovation & Expertise
Introduced or championed innovations in post-frame construction, design, engineering, or business practices.
Mentorship & Advocacy
Acted as a role model or mentor to others in the industry, encouraging professional growth and participation of women.
Industry Involvement
Contributed actively to NFBA or other industry organizations through volunteer service, committee participation, advocacy, or education.
Business Impact
Played an integral role in the operational success, growth, or sustainability of a post-frame company.
Recipient Recognition
Honored during the annual awards program at the NFBA Conference & Expo.
The selected recipient will receive an award commemorating the honor.
Featured in NFBA communications, publications, and press releases.

Certification
By submitting a nomination, the nominator certifies that the information provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
