Effective now through March 31, in-state climbers may register for the competition. An “in-state climber” is defined as an individual who resides or works in Ohio at the time of the competition. Up to two (2) in-state climbers per division (male/female) from an organization are eligible to register by the deadline. After this deadline, all other in-state climbers and out-of-state climbers may register on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional climbers and those out-of-state are encouraged to register now by selecting the Wait-List option. After March 31, additional competitors will be confirmed based on the date they register. Park Preparation Date: February 27 - If you can help prune or supply equipment to prepare the trees before the threat of Oak Wilt, please send an email to tyler@ohiotreeassessment.com. We are grateful for the volunteers who can help make this event safe and ready. |

The purpose of the Ohio Tree Climbing Championship (Ohio TCC) is to provide a competitive learning environment for individuals working in the industry and to showcase the highest level of professional skills and safety. Competitive tree climbing also introduces the public to the skills professional tree climbing arborists must use for safe, professional tree work. Climbing competitions are held around the world to simulate the working conditions of arborists in the field.
During the 2026 competition, a maximum of 30 professional climbers plus 5 students will compete in five preliminary events: Aerial Rescue, Ascent, Belayed Speed Climb, Throwline, and Work Climb. First, second, and third-place medals will be awarded in the preliminary events. Masters’ Challenge first-place winners will have an opportunity to represent Ohio at the 2026 International Tree Climbing Championship.
Congratulations to the 2025 Competitors...
