Thank You for Attending the Stars of the Industry Awards Luncheons!
We kicked off the Stars of the Industry Luncheons in Dayton on August 29th at the Hilton Garden Inn Dayton Beavercreek, where we heard inspiring stories and enjoyed a special performance by talented songwriter and guitarist Frank Myers. For our second luncheon, we traveled to the Marriott Cleveland Downtown at Key Tower, where we continued to celebrate the outstanding hospitality workers in the region, with a fantastic performance by singer/songwriter Lauren Mascitti adding to the event. If you missed Dayton and Cleveland, there’s still time to register for the Cincinnati luncheon next week!
Frank Myers, Dayton native
Frank J. Myers moved to Nashville from Dayton, Ohio, in 1981. He started as a band leader, road manager, and lead guitarist for Eddy Raven for 9 years. It was with Eddy that Frank started writing, playing, and co-producing sessions. They had 2 number ones, 5 number twos, and 3 top tens. Songs such as "I Got Mexico," "Bayou Boys," "You Should’ve Been Gone By Now," "Sometimes A Lady," and many others. Frank had his first single, "You and I" (Eddie Rabbitt and Crystal Gayle), hit number one (for four weeks on the Country charts, number two for six weeks on the AC charts, and number 6 for four weeks on Pop charts).
Lauren Mascitti, Lousiville Ohio native
Many fans discovered Nashville-based singer/songwriter Lauren Mascitti during her appearance on the 2020 season of American Idol, but Lauren has been performing and writing songs since the age of 7. She spent her teenage years performing regularly in Branson, MO, with gospel singer Gary McSpadden. After earning a nursing degree, she moved to Nashville, where she collaborated with various country artists and performed at prestigious venues, including the Grand Ole Opry. During the pandemic, she performed alongside Brad Paisley and Shania Twain in a concert honoring healthcare workers. Her album "God Made a Woman" received critical acclaim, reaching #4 in country album sales on iTunes. She is currently working on new music and continues to tour nationwide.
Congratulations to all the Greater Cleveland and Dayton winners and nominees, and a big thank you to everyone who attended!
Stay tuned for a full recap of all the luncheons, and be sure to register for the Greater Cincinnati Luncheon next week—don’t miss your chance to join the celebration!
