Membership Coordinator/Accounting Assistant

Reports to: Director of Finance & Operations

Location: Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association Office—Delaware, Ohio

Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience

Hours/Week: Full or Part-time

Experience: Minimum of three years of combined experience in an office environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and Quickbooks accounting software a plus. High level of organization skills and attention to detail a must.

JOB SUMMARY: The Membership Coordinator/Accounting Assistant will be responsible for the administration of Ohio Corn & Wheat’s membership program. Duties will include processing membership applications and renewals. This individual will also assist with the processing of the Ohio Corn Marketing and Ohio Small Grain Marketing checkoff program’s remittance and refund processes. This position will also be responsible for general office functions such as greeting visitors, answering phones, and assisting staff with tasks as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Processing of memberships including:
    -Maintenance of member database
    -Depositing member checks and processing credit cards
    -Mailing membership materials
  • Administration of the remittance process including:
    -Maintaining the active elevator list
    -Mailing quarterly remittances
    -Processing payments within the financial systems
    -Follow up with late remitters
  • Processing of refund requests
  • Other duties include:
    -Answering phone and greeting visitors
    -Ordering office supplies
    -Assisting with bulk mailings
    -Assisting with projects in the office
