Community & PAC Coordinator

Position Summary:

Columbus REALTORS® (CR) is seeking a community & political action committee (PAC) coordinator.  The PAC coordinator is responsible for assisting the VP of association & community engagement with the management and administration of the political action committee and community engagement goals of the association. To include direct fundraising, donor/ investor relations, sponsor solicitation, event coordination, program management, and reporting.

Columbus REALTORS® is comprised of over 9,000 real estate professionals engaged in residential sales and leasing, commercial sales and leasing, property management, appraisal, consultation, real estate syndication, land development, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the VP and other staff with daily operations and accounting for the Central Ohio REALTORS® Political Action
  • Committee (CORPAC) and Columbus REALTORS® Foundation, including processing of receipts and disbursements
  • Draft and maintain monthly financial statements, assist with campaign finance and annual Foundation tax reporting
  • Assist department and committee leadership with planning and execution of annual fundraising goals, including fundraising events and receptions
  • Support department with programming in tandem with Government Affairs, Diversity/Equity & Inclusion & Housing Affordability advocacy efforts
  • Provide excellent and prompt member service to CR members and leadership
  • Build and maintain relationships with membership and community stakeholders
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in all activities and committees
  • Maintain department files, and serve as primary contact for daily department inquiries
  • Work closely with the events coordinator to ensure vendors and contracts are secured for department events, coordinate speakers and panelists as needed
  • Administer bi-annual scholarship applications and annual foundation community grant applications
  • Draft and prepare investor/donor reports and communications, including thank you notes, solicitations, promotional communications and year-end reports
  • Ensure department webpages and print materials are up-to-date and valuable, write articles as needed
  • Maintain up to date record of members lifetime and annual PAC investments, and foundation memorial wall
  • Adhere to the REALTOR® Code of Ethics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Comfortable with standard accounting practices and processes; database management experience desired
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Positive, collaborative, and effective customer service skills
  • High attention to detail, organized and responsive to members and stakeholders; self-starter, who can determine priorities and pivot when needs change
  • Exhibit professionalism and integrity under pressure in both internal and external interactions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to attend evening events/ conferences, business meetings as needed
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate

Expectations:

As an employee of Columbus REALTORS® and the MLS, you will receive a competitive hourly range of $24.00 -$25.50 with annual reviews. After the first 90 days, employees will be eligible for one remote work day per week. The benefits package includes group health, dental, vision, and group life insurance with a 10% employee premium contribution. Also, 100% of employer-paid premiums for short & long-term disability insurance. After 1 year of service, employee is eligible for paid parental leave. A flexible spending account (FSA) is available for all employees. Paid time off (PTO) is based on the length of service plus paid holidays. Employees are eligible for the company’s 401k plan after one year of service. Regular working hours are Monday-Friday (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
