Tenenbaum Receives Best Lawyers’ 2026 Lawyer of the Year Award for Nonprofit/Charities Law

Tenenbaum Law Group Managing Partner Jeff Tenenbaum was recognized by his peers and received Best Lawyers’ 2026 Lawyer of the Year Award for Nonprofit/Charities Law in Washington, D.C. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and community is honored with a Lawyer of the Year Award. In addition, for the 15^th year in a row (2012-26), Tenenbaum was also listed in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers for Nonprofit/Charities Law nationally.

The firm itself was awarded – in its first five years of existence (2020-25) – the (top) Tier 1 designation in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for Nonprofit/Charities Law by Best Law Firms (there are no national rankings for nonprofit/charities law).

Tenenbaum also was the recipient of Association TRENDS & CEO Update’s 2025 Association Industry Partner of the Year Award, was the 2006 recipient of the American Bar Association’s Outstanding Nonprofit Lawyer of the Year Award, was an inaugural (2004) recipient of the Washington Business Journal’s Top Washington Lawyers Award, has been one of only a handful of Leading Lawyers in the U.S. Legal 500 Not-for-Profit rankings over the years, is one of only five attorneys in the U.S. Legal 500’s Not-for-Profit Hall of Fame, and is listed in the 2014-25 editions of Super Lawyers in its nonprofit organizations category.
