As an Association we strive to create an environment that allows industry awareness and a sense of comradery. Our relationships with Members of the WSPMA are open and honest and help to provide self discipline. Building Recognition and Connection: April PestVets Committee Update

The April 16 PestVets meeting focused on improving veteran recognition in the pest control industry. Key initiatives included launching the WSPMA PestVet of the Year Award, planning care packages, and developing promotional videos. Updates on the SkillBridge program and a proposed 2026 clay shoot were discussed, along with efforts to enhance meeting communication and highlight veteran employees in November. The next meeting is scheduled for June 18.

WSPMA hosted its first-ever Legislative Day at the Washington State Capitol, featuring a Capitol tour, discussion with Senator Mike Chapman, and a meeting with Agricultural Environmental Services leadership. The day concluded with a debrief lunch to reflect and share ideas. Members are encouraged to send feedback to help shape a full-scale Legislative Day in 2026. Thank you to all who participated—this was a strong start to strengthening our voice in Olympia.
