Membership Coordinator

Position Description:

The membership Coordinator plays an integral role in the success of the Ohio Restaurant Association (ORA) member experience and relationship development process, providing exceptional customer service to current and potential members. This position supports the ORA Membership & Employer/Food Safety department's retention and recruitment efforts through A+ customer service, data management and project-based efforts, and supports staff responsible for serving members (restaurant, associate and vendor) and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for department communication (phones, email, social media, etc.).
  • Quality assurance and making exceptional experiences with both current and prospective members.
  • Coordination materials for current and prospective members (i.e. thank you cards, prospective packets, etc.).
  • Conducting initial outreach to assigned prospective member lists, providing ORA information, benefits, services, etc. to prospective lists.
  • Manages, maintains and assists with database coordination, including populating and maintaining the security and integrity of membership details.
    • Accurate profile data creation, proper tracking and reporting, managing distribution lists, emails, mail,  etc.
  • Develops and assists in relationship/association management systems with a focus on the flow, analysis, benefits, and accuracy in sale and service processes.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience required. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Restaurant industry experience highly preferred, but not required.
  • Trade Association and/or non-profit work highly preferred, but not required.
  • Existing or comprehensive understanding of membership management.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and gain trust of others.
  • Proven excellent customer care/service experience.
  • Self-motivated with an energy and engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Clear communications within all mediums.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with broad range of individuals and teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with previous databases is preferred.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, HR, or other related discipline preferred.
