Veterans Benefits
The "Aid and Attendance" benefit from the Veteran’s Administration is available to Veterans and their surviving spouses who served during wartime. This program offers a monthly payment to help cover the costs of personal or custodial care, whether at home or in a care facility.
Veterans who have served at least 90 days, including one day during a period of war, and who require some level of assistance (such as Home Health Care, Assisted Living, or Nursing Home care) may qualify for this pension. Surviving spouses of Veterans who meet these service requirements may also be eligible.
