Accreditation
The Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Foundation is approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education as a provider of continuing education in podiatric medicine. The Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Foundation has approved this activity for a maximum of 5.5 continuing education contact hours.

Virtual Meeting Details
Registrants will attend the seminar virtually, which will give the registrant the ability to watch the seminar from their home or office. The week of the symposium, an email will be sent with a login link and instructions. The email will be sent to the email that was used for registration, and once you are logged in that will record your attendance. Attendees will be able to ask questions through the question box during the symposium.

The seminar will not be recorded, and registrants will need to attend during the live presentations to receive continuing education credit. There will also be attendance polls launched during the seminar.

For paid registrations, a $25 administration fee will be charged. Cancellations must be received in writing to OFAMF prior to October 4, 2024. No refunds for cancellations will be honored after that date.

Changes to Lectures or Schedules
360 Care and OFAMF reserves the right to adjust or change any lecture or schedule due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts. Note: There are limited spaces and registrations are on a first come first served basis.

 2024 Geriatric Foot Symposium - Faculty Disclosures

About the Faculty:

Vangjo Cobani, DPM is a graduate of the esteemed William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. His journey to becoming a podiatrist is marked by his migration from Albania, where English is his second language. This diverse background enriches his practice with a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by patients from various backgrounds. Dr. Cobani has been a dedicated podiatrist practicing in the metro Detroit area for the past five years, specializing in preventative and routine foot care for the geriatric population. Dr. Cobani has cultivated a reputation for compassionate and expert care and his dedication to his patients has made him a valued member of the podiatric community.

Scott Giaimo, DPM graduated from the Barry School of Podiatric Medicine in 1996 and completed his residency training at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dr. Giaimo was in private practice for ten years before starting the Podiatry Division for 360 Care in 2008. As their National Director of Podiatry, he oversees 120 Podiatrists throughout 16 states.  Dr. Giaimo has become an expert in Health Care Compliance through his work with 360 Care and his membership in HCCA.

Annette Joyce, DPM practices in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, where she has worked for 6 years as a Medical Director for 360 Care, serving seniors in long term residential environments. She is the past Secretary for the South Carolina Podiatric Medical Association and the 2021-2022 State CAC representative for the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Joyce has been voted “One of the Most Influential Podiatrists in America” by Podiatry Management Magazine and was a past Member of the Board of Trustees for the Council for Nail Disorders, an organization that represents the first in its industry to support education and research of the clinical, surgical, and pathological aspects of nail disease.

Her lifelong career has focused on recognizing and treating emerging nail disorders while shaping the landscape of podiatric medical education, frequently lecturing on topics such as onychomycosis, dermoscopy, biofilm, PCR, biopsy, lasers, and micro-drilling. As a founding member and past conference chair of DERMfoot, the nation’s only conference dedicated to lower extremity skin disorders, Dr. Joyce is a passionate key opinion leader for dermatology. Dr. Joyce has authored several studies on onychomycosis in the literature and participates in peer review for the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association (JAPMA). First and foremost a proud “tiger mom” of 4 children, 2 in Clemson, and a rescue dog mom of 3 pups, walking on the beach and traveling to National Parks is her latest passion.

Troy Morton, DPM retired from the United States Army after 23 years of active-duty service. He served as the first podiatrist to command at both the Battalion and Brigade Command levels. At the Brigade level Dr. Morton commanded the United States Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine which is the premiere Department of Defense research facility for human performance optimization. He is a powerful motivator and focuses on moving projects forward. Dr. Morton is a graduate of Barry University and completed his podiatric residency at FT Bragg NC.
 
Meeta Pancholi, DPM
received her podiatry degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. She subsequently completed her residency in Philadelphia at the Allegheny University Health System and William B Kessler Memorial Hospital where she was able to develop her interest in wound care. Dr. Pancholi is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Academy of Wound Management. She has owned her private practice for over 22 years and has worked with multiple wound care clinics,  inpatient hospital settings, and long term care facilities.
