Course Overview


The fifth annual Wound Care Seminar will take place Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Embassy Suites Columbus (Airport). The seminar, which offers 6 hours of Ohio Category 1 CME credits, will feature lectures on the hottest topics in Wound Care from leading experts in the field. This Seminar has been accredited by the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Foundation Continuing Medical Education Accreditation Committee (the certifying agency in Ohio for podiatry). CME credit is established at 6 Category I contact hours for the State Medical Board of Ohio.

Cancellations
For paid registrations, a $25 administration fee will be charged. Cancellations must be received in writing to OFAMF prior to November 3, 2025. No refunds for cancellations will be honored after that date.

OFAMF reserves the right to adjust or change any lecture or schedule due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts. Note: There are limited spaces and registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis.

About the Faculty:

Richard Schilling, DPM - Chairman
Dr. Schilling is an esteemed podiatric physician with over 20 years of experience. He is licensed in Ohio and is board certified in foot surgery. Dr. Schilling graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2002 with a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine and completed a residency at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as a Fellowship training in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Weil Foot and Ankle Institute in Des Plaines, IL. Through his education and years of experience, Dr. Schilling has developed specializations in diabetic foot care, sports medicine, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, and wound care. Dr. Schilling is a past president of the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association and is on the Board of Directors for the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Foundation. Dr Schilling is associated with both Ohio Health and Trinity Health Systems in Columbus. Dr Schilling is now the Manager of the Limb Preservation Program at Mt Carmel East.

Said Atway, DPM
Dr. Atway is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Atway is the Clinical Associate Professor at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and the director of the Limb Preservation Program at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Deborah Cogan, MD, FACOG, FABVLM 
Dr. Cogan received her medical training at the University of Iowa, Roy J., and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, in Iowa City, IA. She completed a fellowship in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine at Midwest Vein Center in Downer’s Grove, IL and a residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She is board certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Cogan has 20 years of medical experience. She spent the first eight years of her medical career as a minimally invasive surgeon, practicing in women’s health, witnessing first-hand the burden of varicose vein disease for women related to pregnancy. As her interest in vascular medicine grew, she pursued a fellowship in venous and lymphatic medicine and has practiced vein care as her primary specialty for 12 years. She uses a “shared decision-making” model of care where she and the patient work together to make a health care decision that is best for the patient. 

Ahmed Habib, MD, DABVLM
Dr. Habib is a board-certified vascular medicine and cardiovascular disease specialist treating superficial and deep venous disease over two decades. He is the director Genesis Vein center in Zanesville, OH which is a comprehensive vein care center in Southeastern, OH, performing over 1500 endovenous treatments annually. 

Caitlyn Hollingshead, MD
Dr. Hollingshead is the Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at The University of Toledo. She has a degree in microbiology from Miami University and completed her medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Dr. Hollingshead completed her internal medicine residency and fellowship in infectious diseases at The University of Toledo. She is the associate program director of the infectious diseases fellowship at The University of Toledo and the director of wound infectious diseases at The Toledo Hospital. She serves as the Administrative Editor-in-Chief of Infectious Diseases at StatePearls Publishing and is a director-at-large of the American Board of Wound Medicine and Surgery.

Hannah Park, DPM
Dr. Park is a board-certified podiatrist, and ABFAS Board Certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (RRA) with Balance Health/Weil Foot & Ankle Institute. She studied biology at Wheaton College and graduated from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Dr. Park completed her residency at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, and also completed an additional fellowship in Europe for foot and ankle reconstruction and a Pediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship at Advocate Christ Medical Center. She has been working at Rush Oak Park Hospital Wound Care center collaborating with other specialists in limb salvage.
