A review of infections vs non-infectious etiology will be presented along with chronic microtrauma, neoplastic processes, inflammatory skin diseases, and infections that may affect the nail apparatus.This presentation will highlight the importance of obtaining a definitive diagnosis to confirm clinical observations and the risks of treating without confirming etiology and a review of the current testing methods using PAS, GMS, FM, and PCR.

Dr. Bela Pandit is based in Chicago and has been in her own private practice for over 15 years . She is nationally recognized and lectures about practice management, dermatology, aesthetics, and billing and coding. Dr. Pandit is board certified in foot and ankle surgery. She is the chair of the practice management committee for ACFAS and the only podiatrist on the MACRA for Medicare.
