AOA Essay Contest Features $10,000 in Prizes

With $10,000 in prizes, the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic History and Identity’s 2012 essay competition encourages osteopathic medical students, interns and residents to study their profession’s past struggles and achievements and write about them. Essays must focus on one of five selected “Core Principles for Teaching the History of Osteopathic Medicine.” Submissions should be emailed to history@osteopathic.org with the subject “2012 History Essay Competition.” The deadline to submit essays is 9/4/12.  Prizes include a $5,000 first prize, a $3,000 second prize, and a $2,000 third prize.  Winning authors will be honored during OMED 2012, the AOA’s Osteopathic Medical Conference and Exposition, which will be held Oct. 7-11, in San Diego. Register today!
