National Doctors’ Day: A Letter of Thanks to our Leaders Dr. Armstrong and Dr. Egbert

At OSMA, every day feels like National Doctors’ Day as we see firsthand physicians’ hard work, leadership, and impact on Ohio’s patients and communities.

This year, as we celebrate National Doctors’ Day on March 30, we’d like to take a moment to say a special thank you to Dr. Anthony Armstrong and Dr. Lisa Egbert for their tireless and courageous leadership of OSMA over the past two years.

Dr. Armstrong served as OSMA president from April 2020-April 2021, and Dr. Egbert took the helm in April 2021, with her term ending at this year’s Annual Meeting.

Leading OSMA in the midst of an unprecedented pandemic meant Dr. Armstrong and Dr. Egbert were on the front lines of advocating public health policy, working with state and local agencies, ensuring physicians and medical practices had the support they needed, and offering medical expertise to public COVID-19 messaging.

Here are just a few highlights of the many ways Dr. Armstrong and Dr. Egbert represented Ohio’s physician community and championed the state’s healthcare providers throughout the pandemic:

Dr. Anthony Armstrong

Thank you, Dr. Armstrong and Dr. Egbert, for your leadership over the past two years. And thank you to all physicians in Ohio and beyond for your commitment to the health of your patients and communities.

Today and every day, we celebrate you!
