Improving Women’s Health in Primary Care

The Weitzman ECHO interactive learning series for Ohio primary care medical providers, behavioral health providers, and other care team members, will explore the complexity of common women’s health needs.
This Project ECHO series will consist of 24, 1-hour sessions organized into modules covering key areas such as:
- Prevention and Screening: prevention and screening across the lifespan, new pap smear guidelines, self-care practices, and caregiver wellness.
- Chronic Conditions: managing chronic pain, eating disorders, and obesity treatment options.
- Reproductive Health: contraceptive options, transitioning of care around pregnancy, and pre-conception counseling.
Each ECHO session will include brief presentations by a multidisciplinary team of experts and real patient case discussions presented by participating providers to apply evidence-based practices to counsel patients throughout the spectrum of sexual and reproductive care, utilize best and promising approaches to coordinate care between settings, and enhance treatment strategies for medical and mental health conditions across the lifespan.
CME, CNE, CPE, and CEU credits will be provided for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical social workers, among others, by Community Health Center, Inc., an accredited provider through Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education.
