Medical Board Update
On February 14, the State Medical Board of Ohio accepted review of two potential additional qualifying conditions for a medical marijuana recommendation. Those conditions are (1) Female Orgasmic Difficulty Disorder and (2) Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The Board accepted these for review as they met the legal requirement of the offer of potentially supportive scientific evidence, or for a previously rejected condition like Autism Spectrum Disorder, the offer of new potentially supportive scientific evidence.
Public comments are being accepted by the Board through February 29 and can be submitted here: MedicalMarijuana@med.ohio.gov.
The Board will then review comments and expert review reports over the spring and a decision on these qualifying conditions is expected this summer.
