Position................ Clinical Faculty

Job Description.......... The Department of Physician Assistant Education at the University of Dayton invites applications for a faculty position. This faculty member will be responsible primarily for teaching and/or moderating modules, assessing student performance, participating in admissions process, student mentoring/advising and program activities such as accreditation, curriculum review, and program evaluation.

This is a 12 month, clinical faculty with a renewable contract position. The University of Dayton, founded in 1850 by the Society of Mary, is a top ten Catholic research university. Minimum Qualifications:
1. Graduate Degree
2. For physician assistants: NCCPA certification and Ohio registration
3. For medical doctors or doctors of osteopathy: Board certification and valid Ohio license 4. Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a practicing clinician 5. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in a written format

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Doctoral degree
2. Three or more years of experience as a practicing clinician
3. Three or more years of experience as a physician assistant educator
4. Experience in the Accreditation Review Commission for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accreditation process, including development of a self-study
5. Experience in the admission process for physician assistant program applicants
6. Knowledge of modular education for physician assistant students
7. Demonstration of excellent time management and organizational skills
8. Demonstrated ability to successfully work as a member of a team
9. Demonstrated experience in mentoring and advising students
10. Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
