Problem-Based Learning Instructor, Clinical Coordinator

 
Position  
Job Description Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applicants for a full-time problem-based learning instructor and assistant clinical coordinator, Physician Assistant Program, reporting to the program director, Physician Assistant Program.

The problem-based learning instructor and assistant clinical coordinator is responsible for working with the lead clinical coordinator and other faculty on several aspects for the successful operation of the Physician Assistant Program, including curriculum development, clinical placement, instruction, recruiting and program evaluation. This position is also responsible for assisting in the day-to-day planning, operations and management of the problem-based learning (PBL) and clinical components of the program, as well as participating in scholarly activity. In addition to teaching, full-time faculty are responsible for academic advising, serving on faculty and College committees and participating in College ceremonies.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts college environment. To be considered for the position, the candidate should hold a minimum of a master’s degree; be a nationally-certified and state-licensed physician assistant, MD or DO; have two years of experience in teaching (academic setting preferred); possess excellent interpersonal and strong critical thinking, organization and problem-solving skills; have proficient written and verbal skills and be competent with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
