Full Time Emergency Medicine (Canton, OH)

Stark County Emergency Physicians (Mercy Medical Center)

Position
Job Description This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing, well-established, high-quality group of emergency medicine providers, in a newly renovated and expanded ED, with an opening for a full-time PA.

Stark County Emergency Physicians staffs a 65,000+ volume ED and a 30,000+ volume Urgent Care. The ED is a nationally recognized as an accredited Chest Pain Center, a multi-year recipient of the HealthGrades award for Emergency Medicine Excellence, a verified Level II Trauma Center, and an accredited Stroke Center. For those with an academic interest, the ED is also a clinical rotation site for the Mount Union and Baldwin-Wallace PA Programs. We have utilized PA’s since the mid 90’s, and have a history of long-term employee stability with little turnover among our physicians or PA’s.

Outstanding financial package, with benefits including 100% employer-funded 401K equal to 20% of wages, CME account, malpractice insurance with tail, HSA-based health insurance, and disability insurance.

Our PA's are an integral part of our heath care team and have an active role in the management, diagnosis, testing and treatment of almost all emergency patients in all areas of the ED. In addition to routine wound care and repair, our PA's perform more complex procedures like abscess drainage, lumbar puncture, central line insertion, chest tube insertion, fracture care, dislocation reduction and joint aspiration.

Prior ED experience is desirable, and strong procedural skills are mandatory, but the goal of practicing comprehensive and high-quality emergency medicine, as a long-term career in a collegial group, is most important.
