Did you know... HAP Midwest Health Plan is a for-profit, licensed Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) based in southeastern Michigan, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Health Alliance Plan (HAP). Licensed in 1998 and accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) since 2000, HAP Midwest Health Plan has more than 7,000 Medicaid and Medicare members throughout Wayne, Macomb, Shiawassee, Genesee, Tuscola, Sanilac, Lapeer, Huron and St. Clair counties.
Did you know... (Directly from their website) Members are entitled to, and are provided with, the same services, benefits and conditions as traditional Medicaid and Medicare. HAP Midwest Health Plan contracts with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to provide services to Medicaid (including Children’s Special Health Care Services), Healthy Michigan Plan and dual eligible enrollees. We are contracted with the federal government to administer Medicare benefits to anyone who has both medical assistance from the State, Medicare (Parts A and B), and lives in Wayne or Macomb County.
