The COA Quality and Value Standards: A Foundational Roadmap for Cancer Care Excellence
Cancer providers are being challenged to communicate and prove their commitment to providing high-quality care. That’s why COA developed the Quality and Value Standards.
The Quality and Value Standards serve as a foundation for practices who wish to ensure the provision of high-quality care, participate in certification programs, and discuss and demonstrate what quality care is with patients, employers, and other payers.
Developed with expert opinion and physician input, the COA Quality and Value Standards cover eight pillars of high-value, patient-centered cancer care and personalized support services that improve outcomes and lower the cost of cancer treatment. They are free to access for all oncology practices and stakeholders.
Practices Can Use the Quality and Value Standards to:
- Assess practice performance and operations.
- Prepare for participation in cancer certifications and comprehensive programs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and value with patients, employers, payers, and other stakeholders.
