WPS GHA has updated the following Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs) and Billing and Coding Articles for July 2025. The full article on their website details additional information on these updates. 

Please note: LCDs and Billing and Coding/Coverage articles will reflect these changes on June 26, 2025.

New Policies/Articles – We created no new policies/articles for July 2025.

Retired Policies/Articles – We retired no policies/articles for July 2025.

Revised Policies/Articles – We revised the following policies/articles for July 2025 – Effective as Indicated 

• Billing and Coding: Immune Globulins (January 1, 2025) 
• Billing and Coding: MolDX: Molecular Testing for Solid Organ Allograft Rejection (May 22, 2025)
• Self-Administered Drug Exclusion List (SAD List) (July 1, 2025)

Proposed LCD Open Meeting
Proposed Local Coverage Determination (LCD) Open Meetings are for anyone wishing to provide input about LCDs currently in the development process.

WPS will hold an Ad Hoc Proposed LCD Open Meeting on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm ET. Dr. Denise Nachodsky is the facilitator for this meeting. We will discuss the following proposed/draft policies at this meeting:

The Proposed LCDs are posted to the Medicare Coverage Database. The Open Comment period begins on July 17, 2025. We will accept comments until August 31, 2025.

Anyone wishing to present scientific evidence or other information related to the proposed LCDs must submit a written request that includes the following items:

• Name, address, telephone number, and email address (if applicable) of the presenter  
• Name and address of the organization they represent (if applicable)
• Name of proposed LCD

Materials for presentations are due at WPS for review by August 20, 2025. A copy of the presentation must accompany the written request for review by the CMD associated with the proposed LCD. Send this information to LCDCAC@wpsic.com.

We limit presentations to a maximum of 10 minutes each. The presenter must obtain permission, in writing, for the distribution of any transcription, recording, or summarization, and permission for the copying or distribution of any submitted materials. We will acknowledge all requests by either confirming or declining the request to participate in the meeting.
