The following Proposed LCDs are open for comment. The Open Comment period began on July 17, 2025. We will accept comments until August 31, 2025. Please send all comments to policycomments@wpsic.com. Please include the topic of the LCD in the email subject line. Please include published scientific studies and literature to support additional coverage.  

Due to online security requirements, we are unable to accept encrypted emails, compressed attachments, and links. We do accept MS Word and Adobe PDF attachments. We will not respond directly to each comment submission - we will compile all comments and publish a Comment and Response document with the Final LCD.

Proposed LCD Open Meeting
Proposed Local Coverage Determination (LCD) Open Meetings are for anyone wishing to provide input about LCDs currently in the development process.

WPS will hold an Ad Hoc Proposed LCD Open Meeting on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm ET. Dr. Denise Nachodsky is the facilitator for this meeting. We will discuss the following proposed/draft policies at this meeting:

The Proposed LCDs are posted to the Medicare Coverage Database (MCD). The Open Comment period begins on July 17, 2025. We will accept comments until August 31, 2025.
