President's Message from Brett Lieberman
It was great seeing many Maryland PMPs at PestWorld. In addition to amazing education sessions, there were a number of great speakers such as Olympian Chaunte Lowe, who wowed the 4,500 people in attendance with her stories about turning failing into winning. While PestWorld isn’t usually as convenient as the one a few years ago in Baltimore, I highly recommend attending if you have never been to one. Next year’s Pest World is in Grapevine, Texas, near Dallas.
While we were in Orlando, MSPCA Vice President Dani Collinson, new Board member Joleen Matthews, and I had the opportunity to surprise former MSPCA President and former American Pest President Kevin Poland with a plaque to thank him for his work on behalf of the association.
Join us for MSPCA’s annual meeting and board meeting on November 19th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Pinstripes in Bethesda. This meeting is open to all MSPCA members. It’s a great opportunity to meet or catch up with fellow members, learn what the association is doing, and how you can get involved. We are always looking for new people to help or just share ideas. You’re Invited! MSPCA Annual Dinner & Board Meeting.
Speaking of ideas, there were lots of great tips shared at our second annual Business Building Blocks & Connections event in September. About 35 attendees gained valuable insights on training for middle managers, how some pest companies are using AI to support their employees, and how to effectively leverage your marketing. We are looking to move this event for CSRs, managers, and owners to coincide with the Interstate Pest Management Conference.
Keep an eye out for information on the IPMC, which will be held January 28-29, 2026. Early registration will be rolling out soon. We are putting the finishing touches on the agenda, so if you have ideas for sessions or recommendations for speakers, now is the time to submit them using this form! Registration typically fills up quickly, so we encourage you to register your team early.
