Education

The Education Committee plans Chapter luncheons, forecasts and seminars. The committee members help with program topics, speakers, location, and promotional material. The Education Committee meets monthly.

Bus Tour 2026

Golf 2026
Chair: Leslie Davis, Dancker
The Golf Committee oversees the annual tournament. The Committee is responsible for site selection, marketing materials, prizes, set up the day of the event and sponsorships.

Awards 2026

The Awards Committee is responsible for the Chapter's annual awards presentation. The Committee determines award categories, criteria for each award, budgeting, decorations, and marketing. Duties also include the selection of judges, judging criteria, and logistics concerning the judging process.

Government Relations
Chair: Scott E. Adams, McGuireWoods
The Committee monitors local legislative and regulatory issues which are brought forward from the five Northern Virginia jurisdictional subcommittees (Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William). NAIOP members may serve on one or more subcommittees depending upon their interests and expertise. Draft positions, which are formulated through the committee and subcommittee process, are taken before the NAIOP Board of Directors for discussion and approval. Members are often asked to participate in task forces or commissions dealing with industry related issues. The Government Relations Committee meets on the third Tuesday of the month at lunchtime. Each subcommittee has its own meeting schedule. The Committee is responsible for working with the Virginia Association for Commercial Real Estate (VACRE) to monitor statewide legislation and regulatory issues and to develop strategies which VACRE pursues at the State Capitol.
Meeting Schedule:
Noon, Third Tuesday of the month.
The Committee will meet in-person at McGuireWoods in March, June, September and December. The remaining meetings will be via ZOOM.

The Membership Committee is responsible for growing and retaining NAIOP Northern Virginia’s member base. The committee focuses on recruiting new members, engaging current members, supporting onboarding and orientation efforts, and serving as a resource to help members maximize the value of their involvement. Committee members also collaborate with staff and chapter leadership to strengthen member engagement, monitor renewals, and ensure the chapter continues to reflect the full spectrum of the commercial real estate industry in Northern Virginia.

Developing Leaders

The Developing Leaders Committee creates and plans programs of interest to young professionals age 35 or younger. The committee is dedicated to accomplishing this through four pillars of involvement - Education, Mentorship, Community Outreach, and Social/Networking. The Committee meets every six weeks.
