oin us for a Developing Leaders Lunch & Learn that demystifies the “unseen” systems that make or break commercial real estate deals. Through a moderated panel of experts, we’ll walk the real-world due diligence checkpoints that drive feasibility and cost including: transportation, utilities, site and building constraints, and environmental considerations, and more. Plus, how these factors can derail (or de-risk) a project early.

DL Holiday Wrapping Party
To Benefit Second Story

Description
The Developing Leaders are hosting their 14th annual donation of gifts and wrapping party to support Second Story’s Homeless Youth and Young Mothers programs. We coordinate with Second Story to get gifts for a specified number of program participants. This year, we will be supporting 70+ young people. Second Story provides us with a wishlist of gifts for each participant. Gifts are donated by NAIOP members, member companies and non-members. See below for information on donating gifts.
The wrapping party will be held on Thursday, December 4. Spend as much time as your schedule permits. The wrapping party will run until all of the presents have been wrapped, approximately 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Following the wrapping party, we will deliver the gifts to Second Story. You do not have to donate gifts in order to attend the wrapping party.
Feel free to invite colleagues/team members who are potential DLs. We'd love to introduce them to NAIOP's DL Program.
How to Donate
Due to the overwhelming outpouring of support, we are at capacity for the space. Please email Tony Gray at tgray@naiopva.org to find out if any space has opened up.
Also, the deadline to donate has passed. If you would still like to donate, giftcards towards gas, groceries, Uber, local restaurant franchises, and big -box stores are ideal. Second Story prefers to get giftcard donations in smaller denominations such as $10, or $25. You can stop by the wrapping party and drop off your giftcard donation.
- Bring your unwrapped gifts to the DL Holiday Wrapping Party on December 4 at Valo Park. We will be wrapping gifts from 11:00 - 2:00. Wrapping supplies will be provided by NAIOP. You must register if you plan to attend.
- Stay a while, grab lunch.
If you are not available to drop off your gifts on December 4, please contact Benita Stocks, bstocks@naiopva.org, to make arrangements for your donation.

For your holiday cheer
We are holding an Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest. Dig out your best (or worst) holiday sweater and be prepared to walk the runway. R.W. Murray is sponsoring a $100 giftcard each for the two most popular and ugliest sweaters - as voted on by attendees..
Also, we will have a wrapping demo and a cookie decorating contest.
We need a few elves to help deliver the gifts. If you have an additional 30 minutes, please consider helping the planning group with delivering the gifts to the Second Story house.
