Physician Assistant - Quick Care
Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center
The Physician Assistant will assist with the diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative health care services, as delegated by a physician.
Provides routine management of walk-in Quick Care patients including ordering of diagnostic tests, x-rays, and medications (within the scope of the PA license).
Conducts minor procedures under the direct supervision of Attending Physician, including suturing, splinting, casting, and knee aspiration and cortisone injection.
Initiates the appropriate emergency care until the arrival of supervising physician or other appropriate medical personnel
Obtains medical history and physical examination
Completes appropriate documentation of all evaluations, care and services rendered in the medical record
Responds to telephone inquiries on discharged patients and provides appropriate medical care or counseling
Communicates with referring or primary care physicians regarding patient care and treatment
Provides follow-up and health maintenance care including the appropriate adjustment of medications in accordance with established protocols or in response to specific instructions from the Attending Physician
