Physician Assistant
Orthopedic Specialists & Sports Medicine
Orthopedic Specialists & Sports Medicine is seeking a full time Physician Assistant to practice at their office located in Newark, Ohio. Responsibilities of this position include:
*Rounding on post-operative patients, some weekend rounding is required.
*Initiate orders needed for patient care
*Work one-on-one with orthopedic surgeon.
*Assist in operating room primarily with general orthopedic cases, including joint implant replacements.
*Actively participate in the discharge process.
*Assist and independently bill for clinic patients.
*Participate in the post-operative care of patients.
*Some "on-call" hours required
*Provides continuity of care, improving quality of care to patients.
*Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualified candidates must comply with registration and licensure requirements as specified by the State o Ohio Medical Board which include graduation from an accredited PA educational program.
Experience in orthopedic surgery preferred but not required. It is preferred for candidates to have a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Prescription Authority and Orthopedic experience. Competitive salary and benefits offered.
