Ohio's Melissa Bowlby, MHA, MSBS, PA-C Honored as an AAPA Distinguished Fellow (DFAAPA)
The American Academy of Physician Associates has named their newest cohort of AAPA Distinguished Fellows, and among the honorees is Ohio's Melissa Bowlby, MHA, MSBS, PA-C!
Recognized for their commitment to advancing the PA profession and the health of their communities, Distinguished Fellows are AAPA's most dedicated members. AAPA established the Distinguished Fellow program in 2007 in order to recognize PAs’ exceptional contributions to the profession through professional achievement, leadership, professional interaction, learning, and community service. Fewer than two percent of the entire AAPA membership have earned the distinction of Distinguished Fellow.
Melissa Bowlby, MHA, MSBS, PA-C, DFAAPA, is PA Program Director, Department Chair, and Associate Clinical Professor at Ohio University. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to advancing the PA profession through leadership, mentorship, and service at the institutional, state, and national levels. As a PA educator and clinician, Melissa is passionate about preparing the next generation of PAs while continuing to serve patients. In addition to her dedicated AAPA membership engagement, she has served in myriad volunteer capacities for OAPA, including as President, AAPA Delegate, Conference Chair, Government Affairs Committee member, and more.
