Being a member of OAPA has been extremely rewarding. As a faculty member of Miami University's PA program, attending the monthly dinners has been a great opportunity to get to know our PA students outside of the rigorous classroom and clinical settings. I have also been able to network with fellow PAs who have regularly attended the dinners, creating an avenue for practicing PAs to explore the academic side of our profession via guest lecturing. I have also been given the opportunity to advance in my clinical practice thanks to connections that I have made at these dinners. I also love being able to stay informed about the current advancements in PA advocacy, and I feel that our input at these meetings truly helps make a difference.
