Ohio PA Groups Collaborate to Strengthen Advocacy

The Ohio Association of Physician Assistants (OAPA) and the Ohio Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (OSDPA) have announced a new collaborative agreement aimed at strengthening advocacy on behalf of PAs across Ohio.

Through this memorandum of understanding, the two organizations will work together to advance shared legislative priorities that support the PA profession and enhance patient care. The agreement reflects a mutual commitment to aligning resources and expertise to promote awareness of the evolving role of PAs and to support thoughtful modernization of PA practice.

As part of the collaboration, OAPA will provide strategic government affairs expertise and facilitate ongoing communication with OSDPA leadership, ensuring alignment and transparency as PA advocacy efforts progress.

OSDPA will contribute support through engagement with OAPA leadership on issues particularly relevant to dermatology PAs, including sharing subject matter expertise and elevating real-world insights from practicing PAs to inform broader advocacy discussions.

Leaders from both organizations emphasized that this partnership represents an important step toward a more unified voice for PAs in Ohio. By working together, OAPA and OSDPA aim to better serve their members and increase PA advocacy, ultimately improving access to high-quality care for patients statewide.

This collaboration will foster stronger connections within the PA community and create meaningful momentum around initiatives that support the profession’s continued growth and impact.
