The City of Oregon is offering full testing services for the positions of Firefighter 1 (EMT) and Firefighter 2 (Paramedic) through the National Testing Network, Inc. (NTN). The application period and testing are open from June 29th, 2026, to August 28th, 2026. Job Description: Firefighter I (EMT) Performance Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Fire Chief, this position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to firefighting, fire prevention and medical treatment. A Firefighter I (EMT) must be able to work with a wide range of tools and equipment and must be able to learn technical material about Firefighter EMT methods. Firefighter II (Paramedic) Performance Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Fire Chief, this position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to and including paramedic/firefighting. Candidates must be able to work with a wide range of tools and equipment and must be able to learn technical material about paramedic/firefighting methods, fire prevention, and medical treatment. Shall possess ability to perform labor and services of the character required by the operator of the Department of Fire for the City of Oregon, Ohio.
