Xenia Fire Division

FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC
Pay Range (Certified Firefighter/Paramedic): $67,990.52 - $87,447.88
Starting Pay (Non-Certified): $63,990.52

The City of Xenia Fire & EMS Division is accepting non-certified and certified lateral transfer applications for Firefighter/Paramedic. The Fire & EMS Division serves to protect life and property from loss due to fire, hazardous situations, emergency medical incidents, and other disasters. The Fire & EMS Division operates on a California Swing schedule with firefighters working 24 hours, every other day, for five days followed by 96 hours off.

Certified Lateral Transfer Applicants:
Currently holds Ohio Firefighter Level II and Paramedic Certifications
Must have prior experience working as a Firefighter/Paramedic and actively working for another fire department
Starting pay will be based on prior experience

Non-Certified Applicants:
Do not hold Paramedic certification
City pays for education and training to obtain required paramedic certification
Must be 18 years old Firefighter Level II and EMT-B certifications only starts at $63,990.52 annually
Firefighter Level II and EM-B certifications ARE required to apply.
