2022 UNDER 40 Award Recipient
Brenda Barnes, R.Ph., PharmD, MS
The Ohio Pharmacists Association (OPA) announced that Brenda Barnes, PharmD, MS of Mason, Ohio, is a 2022 recipient of an UNDER 40 Award in recognition of her leadership, excellence, and vision in the practice of pharmacy. This award was presented at the OPA 144th Annual Conference held April 1-3.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Barnes currently serves as the Manager of Clinical Operations at The Kroger Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has worked tirelessly to integrate quality clinical interventions into the daily workflow of community practice. Barnes has helped simplify the process of pharmacist interventions to further support patients at a higher level through adherence programs, comprehensive medication reviews, and other clinical services. Brenda said of her role, “Kroger Health’s vision is to help people live healthier lives. I am proud to support that vision by creating process improvements that allow pharmacists to better serve our patients while connecting with them on a personal and emotional level.”
