OSMA MSS Fall ‘24 Activities
Thank you to so many of you for coming to our Letter Writing for Gaza webinar on Nov 18th, featuring physician panelists who have served in Gaza. The event was informative and well-attended!
On Monday Dec 16, we hosted an emergency testimony session regarding HB 475, where we discussed the legislative process, how to use the Ohio legislature website, the bill itself, and how to submit testimony. Many students applied their skills to prepare testimony and we are grateful that the bill did not ultimately move forward.

Looking for Summer Internship Money?
If your summer internship is an unpaid one, the OSMA Foundation Summer Scholars stipend might be a good fit for you. Nearly half of short-term summer internship opportunities for medical career development are UNpaid. OSMA recognizes the financial challenges medical students face, and we're here to help remove barriers that might prevent you from pursuing a summer experience! The OSMA Foundation has created the Summer Scholars program to award $2,500 stipends to medical students across Ohio, helping to fill the financial gap of an unpaid internship.
