Training & Certification

dormakaba is pleased to offer certification programs and training resources. These educational experiences allow participants to get hands-on experience with the extensive dormakaba product families. There are four types of educational and training programs: instructor-led training, webinars, E-learning, and training videos. Select your preferred training style for more information and to view the upcoming training course schedules. The dormakaba training programs are designed for dormakaba’s network of dealers, installers, rep firms, architects, and distributors to keep their knowledge of hardware and software current.

On-The-Road Technical Training

Keyscan technical training gives you hands-on learning coupled with a full review of Keyscan Access Control Management software setup and configuration. These two-day technical training seminars provide training for new technicians and ensure that seasoned technicians stay current with the latest Keyscan Access Control Systems developments.

Instructor Led Training

Since the introduction of dormakaba’s instructor led training programs, thousands of installers and locksmiths throughout the United States and Canada have been successfully trained and certified on dormakaba’s product families. dormakaba offers approximately 50 in-person training programs each year. Training classes cover a broad range of products, such as Simplex, E-Plex, X-10, Keyscan Access Control Systems, Workforce Solutions, dormakaba products, BEST products and RCI products.

dormakaba’s knowledgeable instructors provide easy to follow step-by-step instructions to guide you through training on our products. The classes range from a half day format to three full days for more extensive training. Once you complete your training, you will be prepared for installation, operation, troubleshooting, and have a series of product tips and shortcuts to make your business more effective.

Electronic Access Webinars (Keyscan & RCI)

dormakaba’s webinars are a convenient way to update your skills without travelling to an in-person training certification program. Each webinar is approximately 1 to 2 hours and can be completed anywhere with an internet & phone connection. Webinars are an interactive learning experience taught by knowledgeable dormakaba instructors. The format will provide you an opportunity to discuss the material, ask questions, and clarify your understanding in a conference call setting. Best of all, there is no cost for this additional training.
