SOS WELCA

OVERVIEW

The Women of Southern Ohio Synod are an affiliate of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA). We are a synodical women’s organization and our board plans regular events, workshops, biennial conventions, and other opportunities to bring together the women of Southern Ohio in faith and fellowship. In Southern Ohio, we have six conferences representing congregations in smaller clusters around the state. These include Central, Cincinnati, Dayton, Northwest, Muskingum, and Scioto conferences. Each conference board holds annual spring and fall gatherings and retreats to bring together our women to worship, fellowship, and unite in mission.

Interested in the latest news and women’s happenings around the synod? The news of the Women of the Southern Ohio Synod is communicated regularly in The Southern Breeze newsletter. Published quarterly, the newsletter is available via email, snail mail, or as a PDF. Women are encouraged to copy and disperse the Southern Breeze to the women in their church women’s group and congregation.
