The Midlevel Provider-Physician Assistant(PA) is a member of the OPAC/Anesthesia team who works in collaboration with anesthesia physicians to provide pre-operative assessment and optimization of adult patients within The Ohio State University Medical Center. The PA engages in collaborative decision making in the pre-operative assessment and optimization for upcoming surgeries.
The Physician Assistant is responsible for performing pre-operative histories and physicals, ensuring optimization of the pre-operative patients, assisting in the management of patients in the OPAC, assisting in the training of students and staff, and completing documentation of services, all under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.

Requirments:
Graduation from an accredited physician assistant program or equivalent combination of education and experience. National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification. Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a physician assistant. On Going: meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
The salary range is $52,000 to $130,249 per year.
