Dr. Jessica Brown served as an Active Duty Optometrist at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital for three years prior to transitioning to the Individual  Ready Reserves.  She graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 2018.

She previously served as the 43D Adjutant Reception Battalion Officer in Charge ( OIC) in Fort Leonard Wood, MO where she oversaw the clinical operations of the optometry clinic. She also helped to implement and successfully start a vision screening program of the local elementary schools on post. She also was the education officer for the main optometry clinic and successfully taught and trained over seven physician assistant students how to properly manage, evaluate, and treat common acute eye conditions.

Dr. Brown has a strong interest in community service and has been on several mission trips with OneSight including a mission to both Tanzania and India. Since her separation from the military, Dr. Brown has worked in private practice, retail, community health, recruitment, and now works at the VA as a teleretinal reader for multiple clinics outside of Syracuse, NY.

 

Tiffany Daugherty is the Head of Military & Veterans Affairs and Specialty Strategies for Johnson & Johnson. In this role, she leads the ongoing development, enhancements, and alignment to the cross-functional, Company-wide military-connected strategy and programming.

Prior to joining J&J, Tiffany was the U.S. Head of Military & Veterans Outreach for Barclays where she was charged with creating and implementing a strategy for veteran and military spouse hiring, retention, internal mobility and community engagement. She previously led military employment, retention and entrepreneurship efforts at First Data. During that time, the team won several national awards based on innovative programming and outcomes including being ranked #1 on Military Times’ “Best for Vets: Employers” list in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Tiffany currently serves on the Board of Directors for Wounded Warrior Project and as Co-Chair of the Hiring Our Heroes – US Chamber of Commerce Veteran Employment Advisory Council.

Tiffany began her career as a U.S. Army Air Traffic Controller, serving in the U.S. and Republic of Korea. After service, she spent 10 years in the career counseling field, serving diverse student populations in technical colleges and traditional universities, including Vanderbilt University. She spent four years at Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP), leading a team of regional specialists in providing direct employment services to veterans with disabilities and their spouses.

 

Dr. Houghteling is a 42 year resident of Camden County, GA, and is actively involved in the community. He is a member of the AOA, Georgia Optometric Association, AFOS and is presently the President of the American Association of Corporate Optometrists (AACO).  Dr. Houghteling is a retired Colonel in the USAF Reserve with 35 years of combined active and reserve Marine Corps and Air Force time.  He is a 2 time Rotarian of the Year through the Rotary Club of Camden County and has been married to his wife, Valerie, for 32 years.  They have 2 sons, Drew and Cole.

Dr. Hefner is an Associate Professor of the College of Optometry and the Associate Dean of Clinical Programs. 

 

A native Kansan, Dr. Hefner spent 20 years in private practice in Topeka, KS specializing in pediatrics and family practice optometry before re-joining the faculty at Pacific University College of Optometry in 2017. Additionally, he continues to serve in the United States Air Force as the Medical Group Commander for the 190th Air Refueling Wing in Topeka, KS. In his 20 years of service, Dr. Hefner has provided humanitarian health care in El Salvador, Armenia and Trindad and Tobago.

Having over 30 Years of experience in the Optical Industry with EssilorLuxottica in Field Operations, Talent Acquisition and Eyecare, Lisa now is Leading a Dynamic Team of Recruiters Advocating for both Optometrist and Licensed Opticians.

 

Lisa is skilled at connecting Optometrist, based on their personal and professional goals, with flourishing and compelling career opportunities across the EssilorLuxottica Brands. Providing mentorship andsupport through-out the process.

With a passion for people and an almost decade-long journey with the company, Briana began her Warby Parker adventure as a Store Leader in Chicago, where she successfully launched and managed two locations. In 2018, she transitioned into recruiting optometrists, channeling her expertise and dedication into ensuring Warby Parker's retail fleet is equipped with top-notch doctors.

 

Over the past five years, Briana has played a crucial role in expanding the Warby Parker footprint, supporting the opening of 200+ locations and the hiring of more than 200 optometrists. As she looks ahead, Briana is excited about the continued growth of the Warby Parker fleet, where she and her team will be instrumental in bringing exceptional optometric talent on board.
