Tuesday Talk

Join AFOS Members, Dr. Jenae Thomas and Dr. Jeremy Hutchinson, will present a 1-hour COPE accredited course titled "Understanding Red Disease in OCT Interpretation".  The course will provide eye care professionals a comprehensive understanding of “Red Disease,” a diagnostic challenge in interpreting optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans.

Participants will explore the causes of Red Disease, including artifacts, normative database limitations, and anatomical variations, and learn strategies to minimize misdiagnosis. Through case studies, practical tips, and a review of advanced tools, this course aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy and improve patient outcomes. Ideal for clinicians involved in retinal and optic nerve care, the course emphasizes the importance of integrating OCT findings with clinical context for optimal care delivery.
