Not Macular Degeneration: Mimickers and MasqueradersExplore age-related macular degeneration and its common mimics, with a focus on OCT-driven diagnosis, underlying pathophysiology, and evidence-based management to enhance patient care.
Dr. Jill Gottehrer obtained her undergraduate degree from University at Buffalo in 2013 and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in 2017. She completed a residency in ocular disease at the VA White River Junction in 2018 and later that year became a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Gottehrer has worked at VA Finger Lakes in Rochester, NY since 2019 as a staff optometrist.
She is a member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society, serves on the AFOS education committee and as an ACOE team chair. In her spare time, she enjoys watching football and baseball with her husband and two cats and enjoys traveling.
