The Ohio Pharmacists Association offers the 8th annual Residency & Fellowship Expo on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 3:45 - 5:30 pm in Easton CDE room at the Hilton Columbus at Easton in Columbus, Ohio. Pharmacists and student pharmacists can meet residents, fellows and program directors from across the state. Aultman Healthcare System offers two PGY1 programs (Aultman Hospital and Aultman Alliance Community Hospital) and a PGY2 in Emergency Medicine Pharmacy (Aultman Hospital). Our heartfelt commitment revolves around mentoring each resident as an individual and we are dedicated to helping each one achieve their career goals.

Residents are provided the opportunity to accelerate their clinical skills beyond entry-level professional competencies in patient-centered care and disease state management through a shared visit model and collaborative practice agreement. Upon completion of the program, the resident will be able to provide medication therapy management (MTM) to patients, provide services designed to promote community wellness, provide disease state management, assist and potentially lead clinical program development as well as a dispensing role and optional teaching certificate. Family Health Services is an FQHC that utilizes team-based patient care, project management, and a diverse patient population.

Firelands offers a traditional PGY-1 residency program with an emphasis on both ambulatory and internal medicine experiences. We additionally offer a diverse array of core and elective experiences including, but not limited to: infectious disease, oncology, critical care, administration, and psychiatry.

University Hospitals’ Postgraduate Year 1 (PGY1) Community-Based Pharmacy Residency is a full time, 12 month program that provides exposure to a variety of patient care experiences within community and ambulatory practice, as well as providing experiential and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge base and promote personal growth. Residents will have opportunities to develop their clinical skills through patient care services, such as medication therapy management and transitions of care, as well as obtain a teaching certificate and precept pharmacy students.

We are an accredited program based at the Community Specialty Pharmacy in Cincinnati that is designed to establish practitioners as leaders in community/specialty pharmacy. Residents on this team will gain insights on management issues, earn teaching certificate, and service patients with many disease states including CID, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, Transplant, etc.
